Councilmember Cheh to host High Hazard Intersection Site Visits in Ward 3

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, August 17th and Thursday, August 18th, Councilmember Mary M. Cheh, Chair of the Committee on Transportation & the Environment, will host community site visits at the three most hazardous intersections in Ward 3. The community will have the opportunity to discuss and evaluate what infrastructural/enforcement changes may be made to improve safety at each location with agency representatives and engineers. The sites were selected based upon annual crash and accident data collected by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), who will provide the Councilmember and community with a report on the proposed fixes and implementation timeline at each site.

  • Wednesday, the 17th at 5:30 pm – Connecticut Avenue & Porter Street, NW
  • Thursday, the 18th at 8:30 am – 39th Street & Van Ness Street, NW
