WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Monday, May 7, 2012, Councilmember Mary M. Cheh, Chair of the Committee on the Environment, Public Works, and Transportation, and District Department of Transportation Director Terry Bellamy will host a Ward 3 Town Hall Meeting at the University of the District of Columbia. The meeting is open to the public and all media.

BACKGROUND: The District Department of Transportation plans, designs, constructs, and maintains the District's streets, alleys, sidewalks, bridges, traffic signals, and street lights. As part of Monday’s meeting, DDOT will present an update on various Ward 3 transportation related initiatives that are planned for the future and currently underway. The Glover Park and Cleveland Park transportation projects, in addition to the Ward 3 Livability Study, will be among the key initiatives to be discussed.
